Status Notifications

Updates to Appointment can be subscribed via Webhooks

Overview

A high-level journey of an appointment is as follows :

  1. Client books an appointment for a patient

  2. MedeX Platform identifies a doctor based on availability and is assigned to the appointment.

  3. The Client is notified and the doctor proceeds with the consultation with the patient.

  4. The Doctor gives a prescription and closes the appointment

  5. The Client is notified and can now access prescriptions given

  6. The Client sends the feedback of the patient for the appointment

Status of the Appointment

As the appointment proceeds through this journey appointment details are updated with status which can be any of the following:

  • Booked

  • Confirmed

  • Closed

  • Canceled

  • Transferred

  • Discarded

Appointment Confirmed

Once the appointment is booked, a doctor is assigned based on availability, and the status of the appointment changes from "Booked" to "Confirmed".

Appointment Closed

Once the doctor completes the call with the patient, the doctor generates the prescription for the patient and closes the appointment.

Appointment Discarded

The appointment might be discarded in any of the following scenarios

  • Doctor/Patient was unable to connect over video call

  • Network/Application/Service disruptions
